Toast Brewing

Louisa spent years advising businesses on sustainability before co-founding Toast. Aware that a third of all food is wasted, she wanted to focus on creative solutions. In 2015, she met the environmentalist Tristram Stuart, who had discovered a Brussels brewer, Rob Wilson, making beer from bread. Inspired, they saw a chance to fight food waste through fermentation, fundraise for charity, and drive change. They pitched the idea to Jamie Oliver’s team, got the green light, and the trio launched Toast in just six weeks!
