The Kebab Club
In August 2020, Elizabeth and her husband Yuksel hosted a BBQ with a spread of traditional dishes she had learnt from Yuksel’s Turkish-Cypriot family. The next day a friend texted to ask Elizabeth for one of the recipes but when Elizabeth replied with a long list of spices, herbs and pastes, the friend asked ‘can’t you just make it for me?’. That’s exactly what Elizabeth did by mixing spices and putting them in a jar which is when she got the idea. She developed the recipes for 6 months and shared them with family and friends until finally launching a business with Yuksel in April 2021.
