Talou was founded by Ellie Whitehead in 2023 with a mission to create clothing that reflects the joy, creativity, and fun of childhood, in colours loved by both parents and little explorers. After working in the fashion industry for 10 years, Ellie took a career break in 2019 to care for her newborn twins. Frequently clearing out clothing as her children outgrew each size made her acutely aware of the significant waste problem in childrenswear. Motivated by these concerns, she built a business that considers every stage of a garment’s lifecycle, ensuring each piece has an extended and meaningful life
