Clare’s passion for parties gave her the push she needed to start Talking Tables, which sells high-end decorations, games, and accessories for all occasions. After quitting her corporate job and working as sales assistant at a London department store to learn about retail, she used personal savings to sketch out her first eight products and find a small manufacturer in China to make them. John Lewis was her first customer.
