Lorna founded STELAR with the clear intention of positioning high-level craftsmanship and craftspeople at the helm of her business, creating truly exceptional handcrafted goods in a more responsible and sustainable way. As a qualified goldsmith with a degree in Applied Arts, she has worked in the luxury goods industry as a designer, craftswoman and creative director over the past 25 years. She started visiting Bali 20 years ago, inspired by the extraordinary craftsmanship skills within Balinese artisan communities. Seven years ago, however, she noticed that these communities, with their unique and undervalued skills, were in severe decline due to competition from mass manufacturing. Lorna created STELAR to reverse this.
