Sisters Imogen and Isobel grew up on the Isle of Arran and, once they had discovered the joy of high-quality spirits, they dreamt of starting their own distillery there. Being young, they were underestimated by the council and overlooked by planning, so they had to look elsewhere for a site. An unassuming plot of land on the outskirts of Edinburgh came up for sale one day, and the sisters jumped in at the deep end, buying the land and setting up their distillery. The plot allowed them to grow their own seven-acre garden to serve the distillery with the botanicals that flavour the gin, creating a truly natural, sustainable, and unique gin at the Secret Garden Distillery.
