Piglet&Chestnut began in the quiet hours of lockdown, when Gem, a mum of now three, was navigating the grief of two miscarriages and the fog of depression. Wanting to help her youngest son with his nightmares, she learned macramé and made him a dreamcatcher. It lit a creative spark she hadn’t felt in a long time. She began crafting at the kitchen table after bedtime, and soon her colourful rainbows were flying off worldwide. As the business grew, Gem realised how healing and joyful making could be and wanted to share that feeling with others. That’s how the DIY kits were born.
