While working in floristry, Sophie learned of the industry’s concerningly high carbon footprint due to the wide use of imported blooms. She decided to do better and create her arrangements using exclusively British flowers, which have a 90% lower carbon footprint than air-freighted blooms. To help others do the same, she launched MeadowSweet, the first ever flower subscription service using 100% British-grown flowers throughout the year.
