Falu was inspired to create Howdah back in 2019 when she noticed there was a lack of diverse Indian-inspired snack options within the UK. Having grown up in Mumbai, she wanted to bring authentic Indian flavours to the UK snacking aisle. In the heart of every Howdah Snack there also lies a narrative of inclusion and compassion: Falu wanted to go beyond just excellent taste and authentic snacks, also providing a sense of social responsibility for our consumers. Howdah have committed to providing a free school meal for every bag of snacks sold, delivering much needed lunches to children in need in India through their partnership with the Akshaya Patra organisation.
