Grandma’s Hot Sauce
Kapana’s grandmother, Chandra, was widely known among Guyanese locals for her cooking, and particularly for her brilliant hot sauce (pepper sauce, as she called it). Kapana’s mother later put her own spin on the sauce, creating something a touch milder and sweeter, but undoubtedly just as delicious! The famous recipe was passed down to Kapana, who decided to utilise her foodie experience to create a brand and product that reflected her heritage and continued her grandmother’s legacy. So, to honour the two women Kapana values the most, Grandma Hot Sauce—a harmonious mix of flavours from the West Indies-was born.
