Jess and her husband Ed wanted a healthy way to make delicious, nutritious fast food to feed their family of six. They were fed up with the amount of ultra-processed ‘health’ foods on supermarket shelves which all had ridiculous additives. They had the idea to recreate the slowly simmered bone broths of their childhoods as a convenient store-cupboard staple which could be whipped up into a delicious, healthy meal in minutes. Their quest for the ultimate bone broth took them to Norway where they found their perfect production partners, Jess left her job as a solicitor and the duo launched Freja Foods.
