Apinke struggled to find natural skincare that suited her maturing and darker skin tone and delivered the level of purity, nourishment, smoothing and rejuvenation that she wanted. Drawing inspiration and love from her great grandfather who was a botanist at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew over 100 years ago, she decided to look to the healing powers of nature and plants for solutions, created her own skincare range and so ekó botanicals was born.
