Bantu Chocolate
Having always been a chocolate lover, Veronique was sad and angry to find out that her favourite affordable luxury was paid for by the exploitation and misery of its producers. Though West Africa produces 70% of the coco traded on the world market, it only receives 2% of the billion dollar industry’s revenue every year. Veronique vowed to do better and envisioned a chocolate brand that honoured the hard work of farmers with each delectable bar. She started Bantu Chocolate to do just that, championing fairness and sustainability and paying homage to her indigenous roots.
