The first Ann Summers shop was opened in 1970 by Jacquelin’s father David. Jacqueline joined the company at age 19 and had the idea to transform the brand into a more female-friendly chain by adapting the idea of ‘at home’ parties to bring sex toys and lingerie to women in a different environment. The rest is history.
